Stephon Clark (legal name Stephan Alonzo-Clark) was shot and killed on the evening of March 18, 2018, by two officers of the Sacramento Police Department in Sacramento, California. He was unarmed in the back yard of his grandparents’ house holding only his cell phone. At 9:26 on a Sunday evening, Stephon Clark encountered two police officers. Twenty-three seconds later, they shot and killed him.
